6th October 2021 - The Rwanda Water Resources Board (RWB) has introduced the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) members for Muvumba Multipurpose Water Resources Development Program during an inception workshop, held at EPIC Hotel in Nyagatare District.
RWB has established the TAC comprised of technical experts from various stakeholders, and the team will assist in the project implementation to ensure the project’s success.
However, the workshop , which was also the first TAC meeting, brought all participants to a common understanding of the project and allowed them to contribute their perspectives on the submitted inception report of the ‘Muvumba Dam Design Review’ as well as its overall execution and implementation phases.
“ Muvumba project will contribute to improve water, energy and food security of Nyagatare District by harnessing water resources for irrigation, domestic, livestock water supply and hydropower use while ensuring sustainability of the resources and building resilience against climate change and variability through catchment protection, and capacity development,”
