WATER PERMITS DIVISION

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop criteria for permitting based on water balances and efficiency;
  • Assess and issue the permits to different users of water resources;
  • Monitor compliance with the requirements specified in the water use permits;
  • Suspend or revoke a water resources use permit in case the holder does not respect legal provisions;
  • Levy water resources usage charges and impose administrative fines provided for by laws.
